In 2024, Chevy gave the Silverado HD a pretty big makeover. So, for model year 2025, the updates are a bit more simple. Still, there's plenty of news to get excited about when it comes to this heavy duty pickup, including the introduction of the Silverado HD Trail Boss.

This new Chevy Silverado model is the biggest boss yet. Expected to be slightly more affordable than the ZR2, it delivers unmatched off-road capability.

Unveiling the Boss: Built for Tough Terrain

The Silverado HD is a well-equipped pickup, and the Trail Boss edition adds on some truly impressive features. You'll enjoy the same shocks and suspension package found on the Z71, along with 20-inch black wheels and off-road tires. The front and rear bumpers, trim, and badges are all blacked out. Red recovery hooks pop against the black background.

Interior and New Tech Features

While Chevy hasn't released much information about the interior of the Silverado Trail Boss HD, we know it will be equipped with a large infotainment display and a suite of safety features that include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a forward-distance indicator, HD rearview camera, and automatic headlights.

You'll have the option to add enhanced safety features like blind spot detection, rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Power and Performance: Taking a Closer Look Under the Hood

It's no surprise that there's a ton of power under the hood of the newest Chevrolet Silverado model! The 2025 HD will be equipped with the same engine as the 2024 model: a 6.6-liter V8 engine that delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. Reports also say that there may be a 6.6-liter Diesel option that gives 470 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

It'll have the same hauling power as the 2024 model, with a max 22,500 pounds towing capacity and two bed options: 6.75 feet and 8 feet.
