The 2026 Chevy Silverado EV boasts a new addition to its lineup: the Trail Boss trim. You may know the Trail Boss trim from the Chevy Silverado and Colorado lineups, but now it’s going all electric this summer. This new arrival is ready to show you what it’s made of, offering electrified capability and performance both on and off the road.
As a Chevrolet dealership in Lancaster, SC, we want to keep you in the know about the latest releases from Chevrolet. If you’re interested in upgrading to a Chevy Silverado near you, allow us to introduce you to the new 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss today!

Meet the Trail Boss: An Off-Road Icon Goes Electric
The 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss proves that it doesn’t need a traditional engine to deliver the power needed to tow, haul, and take on the demands of off-roading. Equipped with a dual motor 4WD system, this electric pickup truck is prepared to face challenging terrain and weather with skillfulness, adding confidence to every adventure.
Built for off-roading, the Trail Boss features a two-inch lift — resulting in a 24% higher ground clearance than the base Silverado EV trim — and 18-inch wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires. Other features include Terrain mode, which enhances control on uneven terrain, and — one of our favorites — Sidewinder, which lets you drive diagonally!
The Trail Boss also impresses your local Lancaster Chevy dealer with its available max towing capacity of 12,500 pounds (when properly equipped) and available payload capacity of 2,100 pounds. When it comes to power, the Trail Boss can deliver up to 725 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque with the Max Range battery pack.
With all of these impressive features and capabilities, the Trail Boss brings the style to match. Living up to its name, it stands out with a high-angle approach front fascia, Trail Boss-exclusive badging on sail panels, red front tow hooks, and an exclusive Black and Artemis interior with Red accent stitching. You can choose from an array of exterior paint colors, including White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic, which are new.
Rule the road with features like Super Cruise technology, which lets you drive hands-free on compatible roads and includes integration with Google Maps, making navigating easier than ever.

Silverado EV Lineup Expands for 2026

- 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss
Three battery pack options are offered across the lineup — Standard, Extended, and Max — but the Trail Boss only offers the Extended and Max battery packs. Range varies, depending on the trim level and battery pack, so let’s do a range breakdown:
- Work Truck (WT)
- Standard Battery Pack Range: EPA-estimated 286 miles1
- Extended Battery Pack Range: EPA-estimated 424 miles1
- Max Battery Pack Range: EPA-estimated 493 miles1

A Multi-Flex Midgate with passthrough and a Multi-Flex Tailgate are available on the LT and Trail Boss for ultimate convenience and flexibility.
The Chevy Silverado EV seats five, with plenty of legroom — max 44.8 inches in the front, and max 44.3 inches in the rear.
