Sport utility vehicles are designed for bigger families and even bigger adventures! Rather than the unibody design found in a crossover, a traditional SUV utilizes a body-on-frame construction where the body and frame are separate pieces. This type of frame, also used on trucks, provides better suspension and the durability needed for towing, hauling and off-roading.
Thats why Chevy SUVs offer higher towing capacity than crossovers, and often come standard with more power-packed V6 or V8 engines. That said, this construction is not as fuel efficient as smaller models.
Chevy midsize SUVs include:
- Chevy Blazer
- Chevy Traverse
Chevy full-size SUVs include:
- Chevy Tahoe
- Chevy Suburban
