Why buy Cadillac?

Founded in 1902, Cadillac was founded by Henry Leland in Detroit, Michigan. Since then, Cadillac has stood for relentless performance, bold design and innovative technology. Cadillac's Model Thirty was the first production car to feature an electric self-starter, ignition and lighting.

During the Roaring Twenties, Cadillac cemented its brand image as one of beauty and luxury- an image that continues today. In the forties, post-World War II, Cadillac designer Harley Earl made a revolutionary impact on automotive design, introducing the tail fin.

The 1950s brought about revolutionary safety features for Cadillac, forcing competitors to keep up. The safety innovations continued through the sixties, but marked the end of the tail fin era when they were discontinued in 1965. In 1975, Cadillac became the first car manufacturer to provide electronically fuel-injected engines in U.S. production cars.

In the 80s, Cadillac changed the way cars were purchased, pioneering customer service practices. They introduced standardized procedures for the delivery of newly purchased vehicles, such as inspections, ride-and-drive demonstrations and walk-around tutorials. The 1990s brought even more innovation to Cadillac. Their 1992 32-valve Northstar V8 engine introduced 16 patented advancements.

Cadillac's impressive design and innovation continues to be on the cusp of something new and exciting. The 2000s brought about more design change, as the Cadillac brand celebrated its 100th anniversary. Cadillac continues to be a step ahead in terms of design and innovation, and they show no signs of slowing down, making more improvements year after year.
