Not Satisfied with Last Year’s Refresher, the 2020 Chevy Camaro Introduces Style Changes and Powerful Trim

When a vehicle goes through a mid-cycle refresh, it is understandable if you see a brand sit back and brainstorm more changes for the phase in its release. But seldom do you see what is going on with the 2020 Chevy Camaro. After going through a style update and landing an updated infotainment system in 2019, the Chevy’s iconic sports car gets another fresh look among its list of updates for 2020. The casual driver from Matthews or Waxhaw may not necessarily see the difference in the design in the 2020 Camaro. But the sports enthusiast will notice right away. The Camaro SS shifts the trademark Chevy bowtie logo to the top of the grille. The bar in between the grilles is now the same color as the body of the Camaro SS. This move reverses a change the Chevy Camaro went through before 2019.

Exciting New Trim Level

For Camaro fans who are looking for something a little different, the 2020 Chevy Camaro brings you the all-new LT1 trim. Not to be confused with the 1LT trim, this new member of the Camaro roster is moved by a muscular 455-horsepower 6.2-liter V8. It shows off the same vented hood of the legendary SS and unique LT1 badging. Sporty additions include upgraded Brembo front brakes and 20-inch all-season wheels, which should come in handy as the weather turns in Fort Mill or Monroe. When you want the power of a V8, but the SS is outside your budget, this is the trim you have been looking for.

Another change for the latest version of the Chevy Camaro affects the V6 engine options. Chevy has done away with the old eight-speed automatic transmission and replaced it with a 10-speed automatic, similar to the one found on the SS and ZL1, but adjusted to fit the V6.
